Ed Schaefer
| I got bachelors degrees in mathematics and psychology at U.C. Davis in 1984. Then I spent two years doing research at Stanford in psycholinguistics. After that I got my Ph.D. in mathematics at U.C. Berkeley in 1992. I've been teaching in the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science at Santa Clara University ever since. Most years I work at and bring undergraduates to the Mzuzu University Mathematics Department in Malawi as well. My recent research has been in arithmetic geometry (what you get when you use geometry to solve number theory problems) and cryptography. |
